Twentieth Television, the home of the upcoming return of Ricki Lake to daytime talk, has renewed veteran court show strips Divorce Court and Judge Alex through the 2013-14 season. Each program is cleared, to-date, in 75 percent of the country, including the Fox Television Stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Dallas. Divorce Court and Judge Alex will also return to Tribune, Sinclair, CBS, Belo, Local TV and Newport owned stations.
Season to-date, and based on the GAA (gross average audience) household ratings from Nielsen, Judge Alex is tied for fourth overall (with Judge Mathis from Warner Bros.) among the 10 court themed shows at a 1.6. Comparably, that is down by six percent from one year earlier. Next at No. 6 is Divorce Court with a 1.5, which is off by 12 percent.
