Alison Sweeney to Exit “Days of Our Lives”

January 22, 2014 by Marc Berman in Highlights with 0 Comments

Alison Sweeney, who joined “Days of Our Lives” as Samantha “Sami” Brady on Jan. 6, 1993, has announced she is leaving the veteran NBC daytime drama. She revealed the news on talker “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Tuesday. Sweeney, who moonlights as host of “The Biggest Loser” on NBC, said she is not sure how her character will depart, but is hoping for an exit fans will remember.

“It would be awesome to have some kind of happy ending,” she said. “But then, I also think Sami probably deserves some sort of very twisted like ‘Breaking Bad’ ending. I don’t know”
