EXPECT REVAMPING APLENTY ON THE TIRED NIGHT NEXT SEASON
CBS: 8.78 million, ABC: 4.80, NBC: 4.60, Fox: 3.54, CW: 1.42
CBS: 1.5 rating/5 share, ABC: 1.3/ 4, NBC: 1.2/ 4, Fox: 1.1/ 4, CW: 0.5/ 2
It was a quiet Friday, with CBS the dominant network, followed by ABC, NBC, Fox and The CW. Undercover Boss on the Eye net led the 8 p.m. hour, but ABC is reporting year-to-year growth of 17 percent among both total viewers and adults 18-49 for competing Shark Tank on ABC, according to Nielsen. Who Do You Think You Are? on NBC, The Finder on Fox and Nikita on The CW were all lacking in the time period.
On-the-fence CSI: NY on CBS won the 9 p.m. hour, tied with Grimm on NBC in the demo. But there was not much audience left for Primetime: What Would You Do? on ABC, just renewed Fringe on Fox and Supernatural on The CW, which is also due back despite year-to-year slippage.
Tops at 10 p.m. were two shows: Blue Bloods on CBS in total viewers, and ABC’s 20/20 and the Tom Selleck crime solver among adults 18-49. At 10.21 million viewers, Blue Bloods was easily the most-watched show of the evening. Last in the hour was veteran Dateline on NBC.
