If ALCATRAZ comes back when TERRA NOVA didn’t we will know there is a suit somewhere up the FOX food chain pushing for the series. Not even Hurley can make it good.

I think if any show somehow manages to survive with modest ratings, it will likely be The Finder. But increasingly, it looks like FOX is going just start over again with new dramas in the fall. Touch is their last chance.

I’m wondering if ABC told the DWTS producers to go with talent over controversy this season….The dancing was pretty good, and there’s no real cannon fodder. The core DWTS fans will stay with the show- and I’m wondering if ABC is trying to get the more affluent viewers over the younger ones- basically conceding the 18-49′s to The Voice.

Behrs isn’t quite as funny as Dennings, but she’s wonderful in her own right. The scripts will never be Seinfeld-level, but then the same could be said for every other comedy on the air now. They’re as good as they have to be. It’s about the chemistry between the stars, and the underused concept of two young women building a friendship and a future together.

Against this level of competition, 3.6 is enough to keep this show on the air for a decade or so. But I honestly think it would be doing better if they’d just axe Jennifer Coolidge. They made a mistake hiring her, and they have to fix it. Period.

A dip for TWO BROKE GIRLS…maybe people are waking up to its low brow trashy nature.

I love KAT DENNINGS…why can’t she and her talents be put to use in a GOOD sitcom. Less said about her co star the better.

Now this is an interesting night!!!

The Debut of DWTS seemed hit everyone but no one more than the Voice which dipped to a season low for the 2 hours and is below what Idol did last Wednesday. While the Voice is still solid for NBC the stronger competition is welcomed by myself…let these reality shows kill eachother :) Smash was down slightly in what I would call the most competitive 10pm slot of the week…Smash had the highest lead-in by far and coming in 3rd is never good but for NBC Smash is GOLD

DWTS was up for ABC but down for the net vs. last Fall and Spring premiers…still the show is potent hurting CBS slightly and damaging the Voice…it also helped crush FOX which is looking very weak on this night. Castle was up but I’m sure its numbers will drop in the finals

CBS was solid, down but still solid…when your lowest rated comedy is a 3.2 you know you are doing something right…BTW, I’m not surprised that M&M was the lowest rated…it faces the final 1/2 hour of two very solid reality shows and yet still holds its own…Mega-hit? No, Solid-player? Yes. Kudos for H5O for having the weakest lead-in and yet still winning the 10pm hour

House is dead, Alcatraz is already buried…

Yeah I would use the 2 girls plus some Garret Morris and then use random diner customers like the gay guys last night to fill out the show.

So who do you see as the big winner last nite? NBC may have won the demo by 22% over abc but abc was ahead by 62% in viewers. I’d say the battle goes to abc.

Yes.. they need to have one dimensional gay characters on the show to add to the already one dimensional supporting cast and have Jennifer Coolidge be their one dimensional fag hag…

I get your point but I meant use different random diner customers in some episodes – not the same ones all the time

Yes most definitely.

A – You have to counter Reality Programming with something else nobody else is doing.

B – You don’t want CBS Monday’s to become NBC Thursdays…

C – What else could you counter it with that would be as competitive?

Quote from TV-aholic on March 20, 2012, 15:58
But, if THE VOICE and DWTS are both still there in September, is it worht keeping 2BG on Mondays?
Can CBS find a different approach to get viewers back from the talent shows?

Quote from Twins12 on March 20, 2012, 15:44
Monday night will collapse for CBS next year if they move 2BG to Thursdays.

I kind of like the idea of using the same ones.. kind of like what they did on “Alice” and “Becker”…
