From NBC

In Late-Night Metered-Market Household Averages for Saturday night:
* “Saturday Night Live,” with host Anne Hathaway and musical guest
Rihanna, averaged a 5.0/12 in metered-market households, matching the
show’s second-highest overnights so far this season. In the 25
markets with Local People Meters, “Saturday Night Live” averaged a 2.6
rating, 12 share in adults 18-49.
* In both metered-market households and the Local People Meters,
“SNL” was the #1 show of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, topping
all primetime programs on those networks.
* Versus the same night last year, “SNL” was up 11 percent in
metered-market households (5.0 vs. 4.5).
Saturday Primetime Results:
* At 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of “Revolution” averaged a
0.4/1 in 18-49 and 1.9 million viewers overall. At 9 p.m. ET, a

(3.5 million vs. 3.0 million).

I think had the game not been so lopsided in undefeated Notre Dame’s favour, we might have seen a higher Nielsen today for the game.

After 17 nights, NBC still leads the pack in A18-49s for the November Sweep:

November Sweep: 17 Nights Live + Same Day Nightly Averages
Rank. Web A18-49s P2+s HHs

1. NBC 2.76 7,681,000 4.7
2. CBS 2.38 10,248,000 6.5
3. ABC 2.22 7,956,000 5.1
4. FOX 2.14 6,289,000 3.8
5. UNI 1.45 3,602,000 1.9
6. CW 0.63 1,662,000 1.1
7. ION 0.30 1,054,000 0.7

NBC looks set to win its sixth week of the seven-week-old 2012-13 season with an expected 3.3 A18-49. Here’s how I estimate Week 7 to finish up:

Week 7: Forecast Weekly Average of Live + Same Day Nightly Averages
Rank. Web A18-49s P2+s

1. NBC 3.3 9.1m
2. ABC 2.3 8.1m
3. FOX 2.2 5.8m
3. CBS 2.2 9.3m
5. UNI 1.5 3.7m
6. CW 0.7 1.7m (0.70 A18-34 0.84 W18-34 0.55 M18-34)
7. ION 0.3 1.1m

ABC had high hopes for a grand Nielsen rating this week for ‘Saturday Night College Football’, but Notre Dame’s early and sustained dominance supressed the eventual size of the audience.

I agree the lopsided route kept these numbers from adding 5 million extra viewers.

I don’t know what ABC was thinking showing Boston College in prime time there was plenty of games on the schedule that they could’ve aired and gotten bigger numbers out of it.
