Parenthood continues tremendous growth from its lead in. If NBC cancels the series, they will be making a big mistake. The numbers aren’t huge, but they are very solid.

I doubt that will happen. It and REVOLUTION are the only dramas getting a 2.0 rating. I would not be surprised if NBC actually ordered 22-24 episodes for next season

Wow Private Practice is going out so quietly. I doubt the finale will top a 1.5 demo. ABC only gave the final episode a 15 second promo, rather than 30. I never watched the show, but it’s interesting how quickly it went from semi-popular to sub 4 million viewers.

ABC’s focus now is on Scandal.

Actually, for the last two weeks Parenthood has only been NBC’s #3 drama.

Chicago Fire 2.4, 2.2
L&O: SVU 2.2, 2.1
Parenthood 1.8, 1.9 (and now another 1.9)

But PH has been very consistent this season since its season premiere also got a 1.9. Parenthood definitely deserves a renewal. NBC has many problems and PH isn’t one of them.

I’m an NCIS fan, but I often wonder if its ratings success is due to the lack of competition on Tuesdays from cable or broadcast. It just seems that every good show on TV is cram into three nights each week (Monday, Thursday, and Sunday). All other days are there just so viewers can use that time to catch up on their DVR recordings.

Its huge in total viewers but this season its been averaging low 3′s, so its not a powerhouse. I guess there’s nothing on Tuesday that people like besides NCIS.

Its rating stink. What a waste of the Grey’s lead in. It completely collapsed without Grey’s. Scandal might have had some of the highest retention any show has had ever from Grey’s last week.

I actually feel quite bad for it. Its surrounded by comedies that are all failures. You can’t expect a show in its second season to anchor the night, and then surround it around shows that get bad ratings. Also last season it was being held up by Glee.

New Girl typically had a higher demo rating than Glee so being “propped up by Glee” is about only 50% true really. FOX needs to re-think this 2 hour comedy block fast.

NCIS is skewing older this season. I could have sworn it had 4 demos last season now it is down to low 3s with high viewership. I assume a lot of people who watched last year have moved outside the demo which is skewing the ratings.

NCIS LA – i’m in the camp that believes this show will move to 10pm tuesday when its spinoff appears. Counting on this show to build the spinoff into above average numbers would be questionable. And, on the other hand, LA will most certainly be a marked improvement over recent 10pm failures. They need to associate the new show with NCIS, regardless of its content or how it came into being.
