WOW The Following grew from its premiere! Even though CBS was in reruns, that is still extremely impressive.

It is impressive and FOX will view it as a win considering that everything on their schedule besides American Idol and Bones (including the renewed X-Factor) has flopped. I’m guessing that The Following will have an independent audience since The Bachelor/The Biggest Loser hasn’t really been impacted by the show.

NBC really shouldn’t be waiting on scheduling similarly themed Hannibal. It was a safer bet than The Following to find an audience.

Continuing on with NBC, The Biggest Loser needs to be more than just schedule filler in between The Voice seasons. It’s still a utility player that can help out their upcoming fall schedule. Deception on the other hand is completely dead.

90210 doesn’t deserve a renewal. If it comes back, then CW has completely given up.

Deception is on the wrong network. ABC should pick it up and pair it with Grey’s or Revenge. :D

The sucess of THE FOLLOWING and the WALKING DEAD before that may be signalling the beganning of a new trend on TV of DARK DRAMAS for lack of a better term. Any trend that leads to the tamping back of mindless sitcoms like THE NEIGHBORS or over the top sex-coms like TWO AND A HALF MEN is good by me.

Mark Pedowitz, president of THE CW stated 2 weeks ago the show would most likely be back next year (possibly for the final season if it were to be canceled) due to him being a “big believer in giving fans a very satisfactory conclusion” for long-running show
