CBS – CSI
Viewers: 9.12 million (#1), A18-49: 2.1/ 6 (#1)
NBC – Chicago Fire
Viewers: 6.78 million (#2), A18-49: 1.9/ 6 (#2)
With Chicago Fire, it’s already beaten Nashville and it’s getting very close to CSI. If it can topple CSI, it would be a huge victory for this show. Needless to say, it’s the brightest spot right now on NBC’s schedule.
I’m a huge Survivor fan and I gotta say when I first saw the ratings I was taken back a bit…but than I looked at all the ratings and it looks like everything but a couple of weaker shows weren’t down. Survivor of course was down a lot…I expected a 3.0 or more but as Valentines day grows TV shrinks and it sure did last night.
8pm – Idol wins with a 3.7…that is very, very low. Survivor had a 2.4, very poor IMO but than you look at the Middle hitting a mere 1.9 and you think “Hey, something is going on” These numbers are to low across the board. Neighbors & Whitney were fairly steady with a 1.2, GWK dropped and Arrow tied NBC for the hour (oh NBC, tsk, tsk, tsk)
9pm – Idol rules with a 4.7/averages 4.2 for the hour, down 10% from last week. MF matched its series low and Suburgatory hit normal weak numbers, Survivor held steady which is unusual as it normally grows in the final 1/2, but I’m guessing the competition of MF/Idol was to much for it…even a BBT wasn’t enough to do anything at it got a mere 1.6 (CBS you should of kept Survivor for 2 hours, bad move). SVU was steady as was Supernatural
10pm – CSI ruled by a bit but I’m sure if Survivor would of been on at 9:30pm CSI would of done better…CF did well and rose at the 1/2 and Nashville did normal numbers…..10pm was the hour that matched best with weeks past, only CSI was lower, the rest were pretty even.
There you have it, a very down night and I’m still kind of shocked how down it was….how will tonight fair?? Will Idol be in the 2′s the first half hour of the night? Will BBT be in the 4′s??

Ratings look low overall last night. Those numbers for American Idol and Survivor must be particularly concerning for FOX and CBS.
Survivor and American Idol both completely under performed. With Survivor, how many favorite contestant seasons can they actually do and people care? This series needs to find another creative hook.

Whitney and especially GWK are toast, unless NBC’s comedy pilots blow.
It’ll be interesting to see how SVU does tonight at 10PM. It’s a repeat, but it’ll have to do better than Do No Harm, right?
TVBTN is reporting that TV usage among Adults 18-49 was down -5% from 8-11pm last night.
