DOUBLE-DIGIT EROSION FROM THE LEAD-IN AND ONE LIVE TO LIVE IN JULY 2011
One week of metered market (overnight) data does not a hit or miss make. But based on the week of July 9, Good Afternoon America on ABC, hosted by Lara Spencer and Josh Elliott, did not impress at a weighted 1.5 rating/5 share. Comparably, that was 17 percent below the lead-in average (1.8/ 6) and 29 percent below year-ago occupant One Live To Live (2.1/ 6). Losses in the three key demos from One Life to Live was 50 percent in women 18-49 (0.5/ 4 vs. 1.0/ 7), 46 percent in women 25-54 (0.7/ 5 vs. 1.3/8) and 33 percent in women 18-34 (0.4/ 3 vs. 0.6/ 4).

Yes…but not by much.

Obvious to me and a lot of other fans that they should bring back One Life to Live (leaving General Hospital on air as well). If I had my way I’d have my All My Children back as well. Thanks for keeping us informed.

Thanks, TV Media Insights, for the information. ABC should be smart enough to pull the plug on “Good Afternoon, America” immediately.:)

Thanks for the info, Marc! It’s good to hear that the One Life to Live fans are being validated by the numbers!

Remember… After recording General Hospital on DVR… Reprogram your DVR to record anything else in that GAA time slot… Or your DVR will stay on the ABC channel and count as ratings for GAA! Don’t watch even one minute! Pass this info on to other blogs!
Bring back OLTL! OLTL forever! Bye bye Katie!
