Weekend Ratings Round-Up

RATINGS GOLD FOR NBC

It was all about the London Olympics on NBC, of course, which held the top seven spots for the week of July 30t in primetime and more than tripled the competition combined, according to the fast affiliate results from Nielsen. Comparably, this remains the most-watched and highest-rated non-U.S. Summer Olympics since the Montreal Olympics in 1976. Although three nights of Big Brother on CBS managed to stay on the map (rounding off the top 10 among adults 18-49), there was little to nothing to say elsewhere.

What follows are the individual network averages (with change versus comparable year-ago period in parentheses), followed by the top 20 ranked programs of the week. NBC, needless to say, increased by massive proportions.
