AMERICA’S GOT TALENT ON NBC TOPS THE NIGHT
Summer favorite America’s Got Talent lifted NBC to Tuesday victory, with a healthy 9.82 million viewers and a 2.7 rating/8 share among adults 18-49, based on the fast affiliate results from Nielsen. Fox was also on the map care of episode two of Hotel Hell and Masterchef, which each surpassed the 2-rating mark in the demo. For a lazy summer Tuesday, consider that a positive.
Elsewhere, only NY Med on ABC and The L.A. Complex on The CW were in originals last night, and neither generated much interest. ABC moved returning sitcoms Happy Endings and Don’t Trust the B____ in Apartment 23 into the Tuesday 9 p.m. hour, their new fall homes, and encores of both barely resonated. With NBC and Fox competing with comedies in the one-hour block next season, not to mention NCIS: Los Angeles on CBS, the ratings road ahead could be a rocky one.
