TLC has upgraded Cheer Perfection, which goes inside the competitive world of all-star cheerleading, from a one-hour special (which averaged 1.1 million viewers on July 11) to a series order for eight episodes. Produced by Authentic Entertainment (Toddlers & Tiaras, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo), Cheer Perfection is set at the Arkansas-based gym of champion coach Alisha Dunlap where the pint-sized athletes devote everything they have for the youth-driven competitive sport. It is expected to premiere in December.
