To capitalize on the network’s record-high viewership on the night of Thursday, August 23rd, GSN has scheduled an early preview episode of “The Pyramid” for Thursday, August 30th at 10pm Eastern and Pacific, airing after their new cooking competition, “Beat the Chefs”.
“The Pyramid”, hosted by Mike Richards (“Beauty and the Geek”), will premiere in its regular weekday time slot on Monday, September 3rd at 6pm Eastern and Pacific.
“The Pyramid” is a revival of the classic game show created by Bob Stewart. The show, then hosted by the legendary Dick Clark, was originally a staple of daytime television in the 1970′s on ABC and in the 1980′s on CBS and in syndication. A previous revival, hosted by Donny Osmond, had a short run in syndication from 2002 to 2004.
GSN hopes for yet another hit on their hands shortly following the success of “The American Bible Challenge”, which delivered an average of 1.73 million total viewers on Thursday, August 23, 2012, according to Nielsen Media Research – an all-time high for viewership of a single telecast on the network.
