CBS DOMINATES; ELEMENTARY LOOKS LIKE A SOLID FIT OUT OF PERSON OF INTEREST

CBS remains the network to beat on Thursday care of The Big Bang Theory; which stands well above anything else for the evening; relocated Two and a Half Men, which is a vast improvement over failed How To Be a Gentleman one year earlier; sophomore Person of Interest; and week two of Elementary. Both Elementary (Viewers: #1, 11.22 million; A18-49: #1, 2.6 rating/7 share at 10 p.m.) and Last Resort on ABC (Viewers: #3, 7.87 million; A18-49: #3, 1.8/ 6 at 8 p.m.) suffered typical week two losses (in the vicinity of 15 percent), according to Nielsen. But retention for Elementary out of Person of Interest is positive; and Last Resort remains an improvement over short-lived year-ago occupant Charlie’s Angels.

Elsewhere, Grey’s Anatomy on ABC is alive and well, but lead-out Scandal is underwhelming; Glee on Fox (out of The X Factor) picked-up steam from one week earlier; NBC is a mess from start to finish (which included the season-premiere of 30 Rock at 8 p.m.); and under 1-million viewers for the series-finale of The Next on The CW proves there is no need for any new singing competitions.
