ABC, CBS AND FOX LEAD; SHARK TANK ON ABC RISES TO A SEASON HIGH
CBS led this fourth Friday in total viewers, while ABC and Fox, which featured game five of the National League Baseball Championship Series, tied for first among adults 18-49. Particularly positive on ABC was Shark Tank, which won the 8 p.m. hour with a season-high 7.04 million viewers and a 2.0 rating/7 share in the demo (according to the fast affiliate results from Nielsen). Maybe the network should reconsider pushing Shark Tank to 9 p.m. effective on November 2 (in place of 8-9 p.m. comedies Last Man Standing and Malibu Country).
In season-premiere news, CW drama Nikita was DOA at just 951,000 viewers and a 0.3/ 1 among adults 18-49 at 9 p.m. (out of 1.47 million viewers and a 0.6/ 2 in the demo for tired America’s Got Talent).

Elsewhere, CSI: NY and Blue Bloods on CBS remain respectable 9-11 p.m. options in total viewers, but both continue to skew older. Grimm on NBC lost steam opposite baseball on Fox with 4.87 million viewers (#4) and a 1.4/ 5 (#3) in the demo at 9 p.m. And 20/20 on ABC rated slightly higher than competing Dateline on NBC at 10 p.m.
