The CW has renewed freshman drama Beauty and the Beast for a full season, with a back-end order for nine additional episodes. Beauty and the Beast, which airs out of The Vampire Diaries on Thursday, is the second of the three new CW series to be picked-up following Arrow. Dramedy Emily Owens, M.D. with Mamie Gummer in the title role is waiting for word on its fate. Beauty and the Beast stars Kristin Kreuk Catherine (aka “the Beauty”) and Jay Ryan (“the Beast”) as Vincent in this remake of the classic tale.
To-date, 10 of the 21 new series has been issued full season episode orders, including Vegas and Elementary on CBS; Go On, The New Normal, Revolution and Chicago Fire on NBC; and Ben and Kate and The Mindy Project on Fox. Didn’t like Beauty and the Beast but do like Emiley Owens M,D,.I seem to like the ones that get cancelled.
