VETERAN DAYTIME DRAMA NOW DOWN TO TWO ORIGINAL CAST MEMBERS

Today marks the departure of original The Bold and the Beautiful cast member Susan Flannery, who first appeared on the CBS daytime drama as matriarch Stephanie Douglas Forrester on March 23, 1987 and decided to call it quits after playing the legendary role for 25 years. Flannery’s character will succumb to a lengthy battle with lung cancer in the arms of her mortal enemy-turned-soul mate Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang). Flannery’s departure means there are now only two original cast members left on The Bold and the Beautiful: Katherine Kelly Lang and John McCook.
The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS 1:30 pm ET/12:30 pm PT.

A true Daytime legend leaves the stage today in a beautiful, realistic story. I wish Susan Flannery well in her retirement from The Bold and the Beautifu. I’ve been predominantly an ABC soap fan, but after the cancellation of AMC & OLTL, I have begun watching some B&B. Susan Flannery is magnificent, and she will be greatly missed. I urge everyone to tune in for some tremendous family drama surrounding the death of this matriarch.
