HOMELAND IS UP BY 34 PERCENT IN VIEWERSHIP FROM SEASON ONE
Primetime’s must buzzed about drama is now officially one of the fasted growing. Based on the Live Plus Same day data from Nielsen, Homeland on Showtime Sunday, December 2 rose to a record 2.2 million viewers (and 2.5 overall for the evening). Comparably, this is the first time Homeland ever out-rated lead-in Dexter, which is the cable net’s most-watched series. And it remains on the double-digit plus side from season one, with growth of a solid 34 percent. Dexter averaged 2.1 million viewers at 9 p.m. (and 2.63 million for the night).
Both Dexter and Homeland conclude for the season on December 16.
