ONLY MONDAY AND FRIDAY TO BE CHANGED AT PRESENT
CBS, the most-watched network, has unveiled its midseason line-up which includes new drama Golden Boy, the return of sitcom Rules of Engagement, the new season start dates for The Amazing Race and Survivor, and the season (or series) finale of CSI: NY. As expected, perennial benchwarmer Rules of Engagement will step into the Monday 8:30 p.m. time period (in place of canceled Partners and out of How I Met Your Mother) effective on Feb. 4.
Golden Boy, the tale of the youngest police commissioner (Theo James) in the history of New York City, will have a two-episode preview in the Tuesday 10 p.m. hour (in place of current occupant Vegas and out of NCIS: Los Angeles) on Feb. 26 and March 5. It moves into its regularly scheduled Friday 9 p.m. hour (out of Undercover Boss and into Blue Bloods) on March 8. Current occupant CSI: NY will finish the season (and potentially its nine season run) on Feb. 22.
The upcoming 26th edition of Survivor, meanwhile, will open on Wednesday, February 13 and the 22nd edition of The Amazing Race on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 8 p.m. ET. Both will maintain their current time periods.
Waiting in the wings for confirmed time periods is upcoming sitcom Friend Me, which is being eyed for either Monday or Thursday at 8:30 p.m., and Mark Burnett/Michael Davies reality hour The Job, which is expected to step in for Undercover Boss on Friday.

Golden Boy sounds like another DOA for CBS Friday. More boring blah. What do you think Marc? CBS isn’t having the best of seasons with a lot of their new programs and changes.

CBS is way too quiet and this will hurt them in the long run. Bring back Rules of Engagement…again…is just a Band-Air maneuver and yet another crime solver is not necessary. CBS has become very cookie-cutter and needs to think more outside the box. All in all, this is the worst season of new programming on the network in more than one decade. Not good!
