CBS RULES IN DAYTIME

Based on the Live Plus Same Day data for the week of November 26, veteran CBS daytime drama The Young and the Restless marked its 1,248th consecutive week – or 24th year – as the No. 1 network daytime drama. Thirty-nine year old The Young and the Restless, which has logged more than 10,000 episodes, began its winning streak the week of Dec. 26, 1988 (when sitcom The Cosby Show ruled in primetime).
The Young and the Restless, additionally, has been No. 1 among target women 25-54 in 302 of the past 303 weeks (just shy of six years) and first in women 18-49 for 297 of the last 298 weeks. And CBS’ daytime line-up (The Young and The Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, The Price is Right, Let’s Make a Deal and The Talk, at present) has now dominated for 26 years.
