YVETTE LEE BOWSER WILL JOIN THE SOUL MAN AS NEW SHOWRUNNER
Cedric the Entertainer spilled the beans, so to speak, a few weeks ago via Twitter. But TV Land has made it official. Freshman comedy The Soul Man, featuring Cedric the Entertainer and Niecy Nash, has been renewed for a second season. Yvette Lee Bowser (The Exes, Lipstick Jungle) will join The Soul Man as the new showrunner. And sophomore The Exes, with Donald Faison, Wayne Knight, David Alan Basche, Kelly Stables and former 3rd Rock From the Sun star Kristen Johnston, has been picked-up for season three.
Both will return with 10 new half-hour episodes in 2013.
