CBS BEATS THE COMPETITION COMBINED
Only two networks – CBS and Fox – aired original programming last night. And the Eye net’s winning combination of The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, Person of Interest and Elementary beat the competition combined (according to the fast affiliate results from Nielsen). Of note was series-high viewership for The Big Bang Theory (18.98 million) and Person of Interest (16.14), a season high for Two and a Half Men (Viewers: 15.39 million; A18-49: 4.6 rating), and the largest audience for Elementary (11.36 million) since its debut.
Two burn-off episodes of Mobbed on Fox, in contrast, floundered with just 2.91 million viewers and a 1.1 rating/3 share among adults 18-49, on average, from 8-10 p.m.
Elsewhere, ABC populated the evening with encore telecasts of Wednesday drama Nashville (which it is hoping to attract new eyeballs for) and two episodes of Scandal; and NBC and The CW aired encores of its regularly scheduled line-up.
