CREATOR AGNES NIXON OFFERS CONTINUES HOPE
There is still no official confirmation that former beloved ABC daytime soaps All My Children and One Life to Live will continue. But SAG-AFTRA, the soaps actors’ union, has reached a deal with production company Prospect Park to move forward online, with new episodes set to potentially begin at any time. At least two actors, Vincent Irizarry and Lindsay Hartley from All My Children, are confirmed to return. And Agnes Nixon, creator of All My Children and One Live to Live, just posted the following on her blog:
“We of the One Life to Live and All My Children families are thrilled to bring our beloved viewers new, ongoing stories from Llanview and Pine Valley. I’m overjoyed that so many actors you love have voiced their desire to bring their characters back to life. I’m especially grateful to Prospect Park for deploying the power of you, our fans, to enable this exciting transition to dramatic production for the Internet. It’s a historic moment, comparable to how life was changed when television took over for radio. We hope this wonderful opportunity will be embraced by all as our creative teams gear up to bring our beloved serials back to our daily lives.”
Stay tuned.

I want to thank Marc Berman for always keeping us current with any information regarding our soaps. While some of us are still skeptical, we hope that the second time around proves to be a charm.
I don’t remember the last time that tv viewers made a difference in bringing back their favorite shows. Yes, Jericho returned for a limited time but that didn’t last very long.
We hope the execs truly see the value in our shows and that they return them to us for a long time.

I so desperately want to trust all of the heresay. But until PP releases a statement definitively, I have to remain skeptical. Having said that, I thank you, Marc Berman. You, along with Jeff Rodack, have been our diehard supporters from the beginning of our fight. We are eternally grateful!

Tina,
I have to agree with you, unfortunately. Until someone at PP says SOMETHING publicly-I can’t believe this. However, I DO agree with everyone here that Marc has been our biggest advocate-whether he truly understood what he was getting into or not. At any rate, keep it up, we truly appreciate it

It’s pretty much a done deal their coming back, PP just hasn’t released an official statement just yet because they’re probably still working out a few perks.

Shout out to Marc Berman & TVMI for his tremendous role in providing us timely, actionable information and access to the kind of ratings & demographic information that made our efforts to bring back AMC & OLTL immeasurably more effective. Marc, you played a significant role in helping us demonstrate that our soaps still matter, and they still had an audience that ultimately mattered. Thank you sincerely and from the bottom of my heart.
