MCFARLANE IS ONLY THE SECOND OSCAR HOST HISTORICALLY TO ANNOUNCE THE HONOREES
Nominations for upcoming The 85th Annual Academy Awards will be announced by the show’s host, Seth MacFarlane and actress Emma Stone, this Thursday, January 10 at 5:30 a.m. PT at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. This will be the first time in 41 years than an Oscar host has participated in the nominations announcement. In 1972, Charlton Heston was the only other show host to help announce the honorees.
The upcoming Academy Awards will air live on ABC from the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center on Sunday, February 24.
