EIGHT SERIES, PAST AND PRESENT, LAUNCH NEW DEAL
Video streamer Netflix has struck a deal with the Warner Bros. Television Group to air complete seasons of current and recent dramas Fringe, Longmire, Political Animals, Revolution and upcoming Fox entry The Following with Kevin Bacon. And it has also landed former NBC dramas Chuck, which ran from 2007-12, and The West Wing, which aired from 1999-2006. Future shows from the Warner Bros. library are expected to be available at a later time. Under the new agreement, Netflix can distribute the shows through traditional syndication windows, electronic downloads, and on a catch-up basis for recently aired episodes.
The addition of the Warner shows is just the latest move for Netflix, which recently signed a deal with Disney for the exclusive rights to their classic movie library.
