COMPETITIVE PERFORMANCE OPPOSITE THE VIEW ON ABC
Based on the Live Plus Same Day ratings from Nielsen for the week of January 7, CBS daytime hour The Talk, hosted by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood, rose to a record 2.49 million viewers. Comparably, that was up by 10 percent from the year-ago week, with its best performance among target women 18-49 (0.8 rating/5 share) since the week of September 22.
The Talk also matched The View on ABC in women 18-49 and women 25-54 (1.1/ 6) for the first time this season in a week of regularly scheduled broadcasts.

This doesn’t surprise me one bit. It has become more and more entertaining to watch. The skits they do are hilarious, and everyone gets along. I still watch ‘The View’, but just for hot topics, and even then it can be painful. At least when ‘The Talk’ discusses celebrity news, they all have fun with it. I really hope they get an Emmy, as it’s so much more enjoyable (and creative) than that other hen-fest.
