AFC CHAMPIONSHIP ON CBS MORE THAN TRIPLES THE COMPETITION COMBINED
It was all about CBS, of course, which featured the Baltimore Ravens at the New England Patriots on the AFC Championship. Based on the primetime portion (from 7-10 p.m. ET), the match-up averaged an approximate 41.53 million viewers with an 11.9 rating/29 share among adults 18-49 (according to the fast affiliate results from Nielsen). And that, comparably, more than tripled the competition combined. A Sunday telecast of Hawaii Five-O followed with an estimated 12.90 million viewers and a 3.4 rating in the demo (according to the time zone adjusted ratings).
Although ABC faced the AFC Championship with original episodes of America’s Funniest Home Videos, Once Upon a Time and Revenge, NBC and Fox were in all repeats.
