SOPHOMORE SITCOM TO BE REPLACED WITH SECOND AIRING OF HAPPY ENDINGS
It is not officially canceled…yet. But ABC has pulled sophomore sitcom Don’t Trust the B____ in Apt. 23 off the schedule with no word when…or if…the remaining eight episodes will air. The James Van Der Beek sitcom, which debuted on April 11, 2012 and was recently tested in the Sunday 10:30 p.m. half hour in addition to airing in its regularly scheduled Tuesday 9:30 p.m. time period, will be replaced with a second episode of lead-in Happy Endings until further notice (and excluding Feb. 5 and Feb. 12, which will be filled with The Bachelor and a State of the Union Address).
“We love those two shows,” claimed ABC Entertainment President Paul Lee of both Happy Endings and Don’t Trust the B____ in Apartment 23 at the recent Winter Television Critics Association Press Tour. “They are incredibly distinctive. They are water-cooler shows. They’re incredibly well written.” But according to series star Krysten Ritter via twitter: “My beloved fans, sad to confirm that it is true. Don’t Trust the B___ #apt23 has been cancelled. Thank you so much for your support. I love u.”

The first episodes weren’t bad, but they couldn’t find enough to write about having a sociopath as a roommate and it soon became The James Vanderbeek Show.
