SECOND HIGHEST RATED TELECAST TO-DATE
Katie Couric’s highly publicized interview with controversial Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’O lifted her syndicated Disney-ABC daytime talker to its second highest rated telecast to-date. Based on the metered market (overnight) weighted household data, Katie rose to a 2.6 rating/7 share on Thursday, January 24. Comparably, that increased over the prior four-week time period average (2.0/ 5) by an impressive 30 percent, with growth of 13 percent over the lead-in average (2.3/ 7). And Katie finished first in the time period in each of the top four markets – New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Philadelphia.
Katie’s highest rated overnight telecast, to-date, remains a 2.8/ 8 for the series-premiere on Monday, September 10, 2012.
