LEAD-IN DALLAS SINKS TO A SERIES LOW

The series debut of new David E. Kelly medical drama Monday Mornings, based on the best-selling book by CNN chief medical correspondent Sanjay Gupta, was stalled at the 10 p.m. gate on TNT Monday with a mere 1.34 million viewers and 386,000 adults 18-49 (according to the Live Plus Same Day results from Nielsen). Comparably, this dipped from lead-in Dallas (Viewers: 2.23 million; A18-49: 773,000 at 9 p.m.), which itself sunk to a series low, by 40 percent in total viewers and 50 percent in the demo.
One week earlier, the two-episode Dallas second season-opener averaged 2.98 million viewers (which was less than half of the 6.90 million viewers who tuned in for the highly anticipated reboot debut in the less competitive landscape last June).
TNT, no doubt, is hoping the DVR usage is high (particularly for Dallas) once the Live Plus 7-Day data is available.

Not too bad considering the hefty competition.
