NBC Announces Start Date for Hannibal

February 15, 2013 by marcberman in Highlights with 0 Comments

NEW DRAMA REPLACES CANCELED DO NO HARM

Upcoming NBC scripted drama Hannibal, as expected, will inherit the Thursday 10 p.m. hour and the start date on April 4. Hannibal will follow the classic characters from Thomas Harris novel Red Dragon and the film franchise Silence of the Lambs — FBI criminal profiler Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) and his mentor (and ultimate serial killer) Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) – as they are re-introduced at the beginning of their budding relationship. From Gaumont International Television, David Slade will executive produce and direct the pilot.

Hannibal steps in for recent drama Do No Harm, which replaced Rock Center with Brian Williams and was canceled after two episodes.
