MONTY HALL AND CAROL MERRILL RETURN ON MARCH 1
Classic game show Let’s Make a Deal, hosted by Wayne Brady and airing on CBS, will celebrate its 50th anniversary with two weeks of the “Super Deal” effective today. “The Super Deal” gives contestants who win “The Big Deal of the Day” the opportunity to risk everything they have and choose three envelopes in the amount of either $1,000, $2,000 or $50,000. If the player chooses the $50,000 envelope, they also win their “Big Deal of the Day.”
Debuting in 1963, this current CBS version will welcome back original host Monty Hall on Friday, March 1, who hosted the show from its inception in 1963 until 1977 and returned in 1980, 1981, 1984-1986 and 1990-1991. Hall’s assistant, model Carol Merrill, who served as the show’s first-ever model from 1963 until 1977, will also appear on that telecast.
Let’s Make a Deal is produced by FremantleMedia North America.
