THE GAP CONTINUES TO NARROW BETWEEN THE VIEW, THE CHEW AND THE TALK

Based on the Live Plus Same Day data from Nielsen for the recent week of February 4, The View on ABC continues to dominate with 3.16 million viewers, 526,000 women 18-49 and 707,000 women 25-54. But ongoing double-digit percent losses from one year earlier, coupled with minor total audience growth for The Chew on ABC and The Talk on CBS means the gap continues to narrow.
What follows are the results for the trio of network daytime talk shows (with change versus the comparable year-ago period in parentheses):
-Total Viewers:
The View (ABC): 3.16 million (-11), The Chew (ABC): 2.53 (+ 6), The Talk (CBS): 2.53 (+16)
-Women 18-49:
The View (ABC): 526,000 (-27), The Chew (ABC): 413,000 (-14), The Talk (CBS): 504,000 (- 8)
-Women 25-54:
The View: 707,000 (-21), The Chew (ABC): 543,000 (-16), The Talk (CBS): 662,000 (- 1)

Seen in the Post Mario’s newest stunt.Has a warning bell at the desk of the reservation person to push that sounds a loud alarm to the kitchen for them to dump all the food and pretend there on break so the health Department can’t check them. What has he got to hide? The prices he charges he should have a perfectly clean kitchen and top one food.Seems he always gets forgiven and people actually watch the greasy haired thief.

While it’s obvious that The Chew has shown growth, the elephant in the room still exists; The Chew is STILL the weak link in the ABC Daytime lineup. No amount of money that they are allegedly saving is worth propping a failing show.

The numbers don’t match the write-up. Did “The View” get 3.16 million (as the write-up claims) or 2.87 million (like the list shows). Also, CBS says that “The Talk” set a series high 2.54 million viewers for the week of February 4, quite a bit different than the 2.23 that is listed above.
