DALLAS TOPS THE DAY; POSITIVE SAMPLING FOR BABY DADDY AND THE SOUL MAN
Week two (and episode three) of Dallas on TNT averaged 4.8 million viewers and 1.9 million adults 25-54 at 9 p.m. ET on June 20, based on the Live Plus Same Day ratings from Nielsen, which ranked as basic cable’s No. 1 program of the day. Comparably, that 4.8 million viewer tally was 30 percent below the 6.86 million one week earlier, but results among adults 18-34 (568,000) rose by 14 percent week-to-week. Dallas currently ranks as basic cable’s #1 new series for the year-to-date, marking the third consecutive year TNT has claimed the top new show.
If this new version of the classic tale settles in now, TNT has another long-term hit drama on its line-up.

On ABC Family, the series premiere of Baby Daddy launched as the network’s No. 2 comedy premiere to-date, with 1.7 million viewers at 8:30 p.m. Growth demographically — adults 18-34 (619,000), women 18-34 (492,000), adults 18-49 (935,000) and women 18-49 (732,000) — was in the triple-digits from the year-ago time period. And Baby Daddy built from lead-in Melissa & Joey (1.5 million at 8 p.m.), which rose to season two highs in total viewers and all key demos, by 13 percent in total viewers.

Over at TV Land, sitcom The Soul Man, with Cedric the Entertainer and Niecy Nash, launched as the cable net’s second highest rated series premiere (behind Hot In Cleveland) in adults 25-54 (1.0 million) and women 25-54, with 1.9 million viewers at 10 p.m. ET.
