THE REALITY STAR LOOKS LIKE SHE HAS THE GOODS IN DAYTIME TALK
Two full weeks into its six-week, six-market test, it looks like Warner Bros. talker Bethenny, hosted by reality star Bethenny Frankel, will upgrade to a national launch. Based on metered market (overnight) Nielsen data from June 11 through June 22, Bethenny compared to the year-ago time period has increased by 38 percent in households (1.1 rating/4 share vs. 0.8/ 3), 100 percent in women 25-54 (1.0/ 7 vs. 0.5/ 3), 125 percent in women 18-49 (0.9/ 7 vs. 0.4/ 3) and 133 percent in women 18-34 (0.7/ 6 vs. 0.3/ 3). Bethenny is also up from the lead-in average in the three female demos (while remaining flat in households), emerging as the top rated Fox talk show test in five years (including Wendy Williams in 2008; The Huckabee Show, hosted by Mike Huckabee, and Fran Drescher in 2010; and Father Albert, hosted by Alberto Cutie, in 2011).
Bethenny’s current test run consists of New York (WNYW), Los Angeles (KTTV), Philadelphia (WTXF), Dallas (KDFW), Phoenix (KSAZ) and Minneapolis (KMSP).
