Fox has announced midseason changes that will include the debut of drama “Rake,” the returns of “American Idol” and “The Following,” and new time periods for “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “Glee.” “American Idol,” with Harry Connick, Jr., Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban as the revised trio of judges, will kick-off its 13th season on Tuesday, Jan. 15 and Wednesday, Jan. 16 from 8-10 p.m. “Rake,” which follows the chaotic life of a divorced criminal defense attorney (Greg Kinnear), premieres in the Thursday 9 p.m. hour (out of “American Idol”) on January 23.

“The Following,” headlined by Kevin Bacon, will return for the first of 14-new episodes with a two-night season-opener on Sunday, Jan. 19 at 10 p.m. ET (following the “NFC Championship Game”) and in its regularly scheduled Monday 9 p.m. hour on Jan. 20 (following the season-finale of “Sleepy Hollow” at 8 p.m. ET).

Tuesday will feature freshman comedy “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” at a new time, 9:30 p.m., on Feb. 4 (and in place of “The Mindy Project,” which is taking a break until April 1). And “Glee” moves into the Tuesday 8 p.m. hour on Feb. 25 (with “Dads” at 8 p.m. taking a break). As previously announced, new military-themed sitcom “Enlisted” will debut on Friday, Jan. 10 at 9:30 p.m. (out of “Raising Hope”).
