It took several years but NFL Network has finally arrived on Cablevision.

On Thursday, August 16, Cablevision Systems – which mainly services the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut Tri-State area – announced a multi-year deal with the NFL Network to carry the channel, as well as companion network, NFL Red Zone, starting on Friday, August 17.

NFL Network currently has carriage deals with all of the nine largest cable or satellite companies, except Time Warner. It’s with this exception that prompted NFL Network host Rich Eisen to tweet on Thursday:

This season, the NFL Network expanded its Thursday Night Football regular season slate from 8 to 13 games. It kicks off with the Chicago Bears visiting the Green Bay Packers – the league’s most-played rivalry – on September 13.

Cablevision subscribers of either the iO Preferred, iO Silver, iO Gold or the iO Sports & Entertainment Pak packages will be able to view NFL Network on channel 150 and NFL RedZone – a channel that provides highlights and live look-ins on games every Sunday – on channel 151.

Each network will be available in both standard and high-definition.

TWC is last major holdout not to have NFLN. Cablevision has always said the only way they would carry NFLN was if they could get Sunday Ticket at least NFLN is finally in NYC without the dish.
