-Losers (excluding repeats):

Ratings Breakdown:
CBS remains the network to be on Friday, but under 10-million viewers overall with a 1.5 rating/5 share among adults 18-49 is nothing extraordinary.  On-the-fence freshman drama A Gifted Man on the Eye net opened with a typical 8.25 million viewers (#1) and a second-place 1.2/ 4 in the demo at 8 p.m., according to Nielsen Media Research.  Unless CBS decides to position returning Undercover Boss in the time period, there is every reason to believe it will order more episodes of A Gifted Man.

Next on CBS was veteran CSI: NY (Viewers: #1, 10.16 million; A18-49: #1, 1.7/ 5 at 9 p.m.), followed by the most-watched show of the evening, Blue Bloods at 10 p.m. (Viewers: #1, 11.18 million; A18-49: #1, 1.7/ 5).  Given the lower expectations on Friday, both CSI: NY and Blue Bloods have to be considered “winners.”

In week three news, drama Grimm on NBC slid to 5.19 million viewers (#3), with a second-place 1.5/ 5 among adults 18-49 at 9 p.m.  Comparably, that dipped from one week earlier (Viewers: 6.01 million; A18-49: 1.8/ 6 on Nov. 4) by 820,000 viewers and 17 percent in the demo.  But growth out of relocated Chuck (Viewers: #4, 3.17 million; A18-49: #3, 0.9/ 3 at 8 p.m.) was still a notable 2.02 million viewers and 67 percent among adults 18-49.  Considering the current state NBC is in, Grimm is still potentially promising.

A now one-hour edition of Dateline capped off the evening for NBC with 4.90 million viewers (#3) and a 1.4/ 4 in the demo (#2t) at 10 p.m.

Over at ABC, relocated Extreme Makeover: Home Edition sunk to 4.21 million viewers (#2) and a fourth-place 0.8/ 3 among adults 18-49 at 8 p.m., which pales in comparison to what it was recently doing on Sunday.  One year earlier, former time period occupant Supernanny was stronger at 5.16 million viewers and a 1.2/ 4 in the demo on 11/12/10.  As a reminder, any prior rating comparisons are based on the Live Plus Same Day ratings.

Next on ABC were two editions of tired newsmagazine 20/20 as follows:

20/20 (ABC)
9:00 p.m. – Viewers: 5.58 million (#2), A18-49: 1.1/ 3 (#3t)
10:00 p.m. – Viewers: 5.87 million (#2), A18-49: 1.4/ 4 (#2t)

On Fox, Kitchen Nightmare won the 8 p.m. hour among 18-49, with a 1.6/ 5 in the demo, but results in total viewers was a typical third-place 3.92 million.  Next was low-rated Fringe at just 3.07 million viewers (#4) and a 1.1/ 3 in the demo (#3).

Over at The CW, cellar-dwellers Nikita and Supernatural lost more steam year-to-year with relocated Nikita versus former Friday 8 p.m. occupant Supernatural the bigger loser.  Take a look:

8:00 p.m.
11/12/10: Smallville – Viewers: 2.90 million, A18-49: 1.3/ 4
11/11/11: Nikita – Viewers: 1.90 million, A18-49: 0.6/ 2
Percent Change: Viewers: -34, A18-49: -54

9:00 p.m.
11/12/10: Supernatural – Viewers: 2.09 million, A18-49: 0.9/ 3
11/11/11: Supernatural – Viewers: 1.79 million, A18-49: 0.8/ 2
Percent Change: Viewers: -14, A18-49: -11
