Ratings Breakdown:

Victorious Miami Heat in the fifth, and final game of The 2012 NBA Finals led ABC to solid Thursday victory with double the household rating of second-place CBS. The concluding game averaged an estimated series-high 12.1 rating/21 share in primetime from 9-11 p.m., and a 12.6/23 with the 11 p.m. hour (12.9/22) factored in. Needless to say, this will be the most-watched program of the week, with ABC poised for overall victory.

Earlier in the evening on ABC was an 8 p.m. half-hour edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live (#2: 3.2/ 6) and the NBA Countdown at a 4.6/ 9 (#2) at 8:30 p.m. Don’t forget that results for any live sporting event are always estimated.

In part two news, the conclusion of NBC special Justin Bieber: All Around the World was a bust at a distant 2.3/ 4 in the overnights from 8-9 p.m. One day earlier, a 2.0. 4 for the first part of the Bieber special translated into 3.02 million viewers and a 0.9 rating/3 share among adults 18-49 (based on the Live Plus Same Day results). For our theory why Mr. Bieber flopped in the ratings, click on the following:

Next on NBC was lackluster Canadian drama Saving Hope, which dipped to a series-low 2.1/ 3 (#4) at 9 p.m. opposite basketball, followed by relocated Rock Center With Brian Williams at a 3.1/ 5 (#3).

Elsewhere, recent non-scripted Fox entries Take Me Out (#4: 2.1/ 4) and The Choice (#3: 2.7/ 4) were right on par from one week earlier, which is by no means a positive. CBS populated the evening with encore telecasts of The Big Bang Theory (#1: 5.5/10), 2 Broke Girls (#1: 4.7/ 8), Person of Interest (#2: 4.7/ 8) and The Mentalist (#2: 4.4/ 7). And The CW aired docuseries dud Breaking Pointe (#5: 0.7/ 1) and a repeat of The Vampire Diaries (#5: 0.5/ 1).
