THE ROAD TO SUPER BOWL XLVIII WILL BE TELEVISED

NFL Playoffs

The National Football League announced its postseason television schedule on Sunday, December 29.

The Kansas City Chiefs and AFC South division champion Indianapolis Colts will kickoff Wild Card weekend on NBC on Saturday, January 4, followed by an NFC matchup (also on NBC) in the Saturday evening slot featuring quarterback Drew Brees and his New Orleans Saints visiting the Philadelphia Eagles.

Sunday, January 5 will feature the San Diego Chargers visiting the Cincinnati Bengals in a rematch of a 17-10 overtime game from Week 13 (won by Cincinnati) on CBS at 1 p.m. Then, in the late afternoon, defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers visit the NFC North champion Green Bay Packers, led by the recent return of formerly-injured Aaron Rodgers, on Fox.

The home teams and their scheduled times have also been announced for the following weekend’s Divisional playoff games. Fox will air NFC’s top-seeded Seattle Seahawks on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 4:40 p.m. and air NFC’s second-seeded Carolina Panthers on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 1:05 p.m. CBS will air AFC’s second-seeded New England Patriots on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 8:15 p.m. and air AFC’s top-seeded Denver Broncos on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 4:40 p.m.
