CBS AND FOX LEAD TRADITIONALLY LACKLUSTER EVENING
It was night of split leadership on this low-rated Labor Day weekend Sunday, with CBS the most-watched and Fox No. 1 among key adults 18-49, according to the fast affiliate results from Nielsen. With three weeks to go before the official start of the new TV season, ABC previewed its five new fall series (sitcoms The Neighbors and Malibu Country; dramas Nashville, The Last Resort and 666 Park Avenue) in a 7 p.m. special hosted by the personalities on The Chew and it flopped with just 2.37 million viewers (#3) and a last-place 0.4 rating/2 share among adults 18-49. ABC populated the 9-11 p.m. block with another special, TV’s Most Dynamic Duos: Presented By the Paley Center for Media, and it was equally lackluster.
Elsewhere, Big Brother on CBS was below average at 8 p.m., and the remainder of the evening was predominantly repeats. For a complete listing by network and by individual program for Sunday, September 2, click on the following: http://tinyurl.com/8egco2d
