ONE-HOUR SPECIAL TO AIR DURING DEBUT WEEK

Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog from Joss Whedon, which was created as a three-part online Internet musical in 2008, will air on The CW on Tuesday, October 9 at 9 p.m. ET. The fantasy hour will feature How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris as a budding super villain whose plans for world domination continually go awry. Castle star Nathon Fillion plays superhero arch nemesis, Captain Hammer.

The musical video was an Internet sensation, with more than 2.2 million views in the first week in 2008, and more than 50 million views in total. It airs during The CW’s official fall 2012 debut date, and one week prior to the debut of new drama Emily Owens, M.D.
