America’s Got Talent lifted NBC to Tuesday victory, with 9.64 million viewers and a 2.5 rating/7 share among adults 18-49 from 8-10 p.m., based on the fast affiliate ratings from Nielsen. And that was beneficial to a repeat of the pilot episode of Matthew Perry sitcom Go On at 10 p.m. (which led into an encore telecast of Animal Practice at 10:30 p.m.). But as solid as that is, the perennial mixed talent competition was stronger last summer minus Howard Stern.
An original installment of Masterchef on Fox was no slouch either, with a 2.4/ 7 in the demo at 9 p.m. (#2). But season two of Canadian drama The L.A. Complex continues to lag on The CW, and low-rated repeats of relocated ABC sitcoms Happy Endings and Don’t’ Trust the B___ in Apt. 23 could signal an uphill (and potentially short-lived) battle in the Tuesday 9 p.m. hour next season.
