For its entire week in Total Day (8 p.m. to 5:59 a.m.), Adult Swim is down 3 percent in total viewership (1.209 million vs. 1.245 million) and down 1 percent among Adults 18-49 (673,000 vs. 680,000) from one week earlier; the network is also down 9 percent in total viewership (1.209 million vs. 1.322 million) and down 10 percent among Adults 18-49 (673,000 vs. 744,000) from the same week one year ago (June 3-9, 2013). Across the second week of June 2014, Adult Swim ranked as the #1 television network in Primetime among adults 18-34. Adult Swim’s Total Day performance also ranked #1 on basic cable for the week across all targeted demos – adults 18-24, 18-34 & 18-49 and men 18-24, 18-34 & 18-49.
Thursday night’s new episode premiere of the Adult Swim original series Loiter Squad (12 a.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among all targeted adults 18-24, 18-34 & 18-49 and men 18-24, posting year-over-year delivery gains among adults 18-24 and all men, ranging between 2 percent and 21 percent. Similarly, Sunday night’s new episode premiere of the Emmy-winning original series Robot Chicken (11:30 p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among all adults 18-24, 18-34 & 18-49 and men 18-34.
On Monday night, a new episode of the Peabody Award-winning The Boondocks (10:30 p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period on all cable among adults & men 18-24, posting delivery gains across the board of targeted demos vs. the same time period last year, ranging between 4 percent and 43 percent.
Saturday night’s TOONAMI presentation of Attack on Titans (11:30 p.m.) and Bleach (12 a.m.) each ranked #1 in their respective timeslots among adults 18-24 & 18-34 and men 18-34. One Piece (1:30 a.m.) and Blue Exorcist (2 a.m.) also ranked #1 in their respective timeslots among adults 18-34 and men 18-34. Finally, Black Lagoon (2:30a) ranked #1 in its time period among adults 18-34 and men 18-34 & 18-49, while Beware the Batman (3 a.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among men 18-34 & 18-49.
Adult Swim programming – including Family Guy, American Dad, The Boondocks, Robot Chicken, Loiter Squad, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Superjail – accounted for a dramatic 34 of the top 50 telecasts on basic cable for the week among adults 18-34, and 42 of the top 50 telecasts among men 18-34, both more than any other network.
