CBS, NBC AND FOX TOP FIRST FULL WEEK OF THE SUMMER

Three networks – CBS, NBC and Fox – led the week of May 27, which is considered the first official week of the summer TV season. CBS was most-watched, NBC was first among adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, Fox was tops in adults 18-49, and all three networks were close to year-ago levels. Only ABC was on the noticeable downside.

There were three series premieres this week: “Brooklyn DA” on CBS, “The American Baking Competition” on CBS and “ABC’s The Lookout,” and they fared modestly as follows:

“Brooklyn DA” (CBS) – Tuesday 10 p.m.
Viewers: 4.75 million (#32 overall), A18-49: 1.0 rating/3 share (#41t)

“American Baking Competition” (CBS) – Wednesday 8 p.m.
Viewers: 5.11 million (#27), A18-49: 1.0/ 3 (#41t)

“ABC’s The Lookout” – Wednesday 10 p.m.
Viewers: 4.14 million (#43), A18-49: 1.1/ 3 (#36t)

“Body of Proof” on ABC, meanwhile, concluded its run with 7.64 million viewers (#9) and a 1.2/ 3 among adults 18-49 (#25t) in the Tuesday 10 p.m. hour. And newsmagazine “What Would You Do?” on the alphabet net returned for its summer run with 3.88 million viewers (#47) and a 1.3/ 5 in the demo (#20t) in the Friday 9 p.m. hour. Comparably, growth for “What Would You Do?” of eight percent out of an encore of lead-in “Shark Tank” was a positive.
